This mylar covers the area of the right orbit where the ball lands when launched from the shooter lane.

Includes custom cut mylar and single use alcohol wipe for installation.

NOTE: If your playfield has already chipped or flaked in the area you intend to install the mylar, you MUST clean and then seal the chip/flake area with Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails clear nail polish #800 (UPC 0 74170 38283 9) to arrest the chipping. If you just put the mylar over the damage without taking this step, the chipping can continue under the mylar.

INSTALLATION TIPS:

  1. Grab a credit card or other plastic card like a store loyalty card. You'll need the hard edge to smooth the mylar.
  2. Use the included alcohol wipe to make sure the area where the mylar will go.  Let it dry.
  3. Test fit the mylar with the paper backing still on it so you can see how it should line up outlining the switch slot at the top and the indentations of the ball guide on the right side.
  4. Bend back about 1" of the backing paper on the bottom edge (the end opposite the switch slot cutout and crease it hard so it sets as flat as possible against the back side.
  5. The exposed sticky part of the mylar should hover slightly above the playfield from the fold thickness, allowing you to test alignment first. (Note that you may have to angle the mylar in to get it to lay in the channel)
  6. Line up the mylar so it looks like the white paper-backing images on this page that show the fit.  Once you get it lined up, press the sticky part to the playfield and smooth it with your finger.
  7. Double check that the rest of the still papered mylar is lining up.  If it ISN'T, pull up the sticky stub and do step 5 again.  If it IS still lined up, continue to step 7.
  8. Lift the mylar and grab the 1" you folded back underneath and slowly pull it from the back as you smooth it with your finger to make sure no bubbles get under the mylar. Pull and smooth slowly for a good install.
  9. Smooth the mylar more with the credit card edge left to right in small motions (the clearance is tight so you can't really do long strokes) until the mylar seems to disappear into the playfield.
  10. That's it! You're done!new
